What It's All AboutThe Somerset You can Do service is here to help people help themselves. We recruit volunteers to support vulnerable adults, who may feel isolated, to take part in local community activities.
The project works in partnership with a host of specialist volunteering agencies to recruit and train volunteers to work with local people to: Find out what help is available to them where they live Gain confidence to get out and about by helping them find groups or activities they’d like to try Improve accessibility to existing groups or set up new groups to improve more of the community. The aim is for people to become more confident, giving them greater control of their lives and access the support they need independently. The services are free and available all over Somerset.
